This is not a diagnosisThe reader tells you what it measured on the strip. It is not a medical or veterinary diagnosis, it is not a substitute for seeing a vet, and it has not been cleared or approved by any regulator. If the result matters, take the animal to a veterinarian.
We keep the photoEach photo you take is kept, along with what the software measured in it. That is how the reader is checked and improved. Photos of test strips are all we ask for — please do not photograph people or anything else you would not want kept.
Location is required, and we record the area onlyThe reader needs location access, because a result nobody can place is of no use to anyone but you. Your phone's position is used once, to work out which county the test was taken in, and then discarded — we never store your coordinates. County-level is what disease tracking uses, and it is nowhere near precise enough to identify where you live.
Results are counted, anonymouslyYour results are pooled with everyone else's to build a picture of what is circulating where. Nothing in that picture identifies you, your animal, or your address.
